• Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP
The Katten Muchin Rosenman LLC space is located in the tower at Park District, a 20-story office tower in the heart of downtown Dallas (also a PMI project). Purdy-McGuire teamed with @Gensler_Design  to create this beautiful space overlooking Klyde Warren Park. PMI designed first-generation mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for 56,340 sf on floors 10 and 11 for Katten. The space includes offices, an executive lounge, conference and meeting rooms, production areas, a large break room, a catering room, additional new restrooms, and more. Throughout the space, we provided a high-end MEP finish out with over 50 different light fixtures and non-standard ceiling types, coordinating 30+ HVAC terminal boxes per floor. The space was designed to be reconfigurable on-demand, using retractable glass walls combined with wider hallways and a variety of workspaces.

The replacement project consisted of three 1,300 low-temperature chillers in series, three chilled water, and three condenser water pumps. Due to physical limitations, each chiller had to be shipped in three components and reassembled in place.  The new central plant upgrades achieved zero downtime for the office tower air conditioning systems, and the energy usage has been reduced by 14%.
