Purdy-McGuire’s Family of Interns

Purdy-McGuire’s internship program started in 2008 as a part of Kansas State University’s Architectural/Engineering department. We’ve gained many top-notch employees thru the program. Dallas managers travel to Manhattan about every two weeks to work directly with the interns so they can start honing their engineering skill under the tutelage of skilled professionals, and can learn how to work on real world designs. We also have interns working in the Dallas office during most summers, and they are outstanding too.

So here’s to our interns. You’re the best!

I started interning with Purdy-McGuire, Inc., in June 2014 in the Dallas office, and I now work in the Manhattan office. I plan to graduate from K-State with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering in May 2018. Originally from Carrollton, Texas, I love animals, especially my dogs, and almost anything involving music. I also am an adrenaline junkie, going to extremes to bungee jump, skydive, and ride roller coasters. I currently am doing electrical work mainly under the direction of Daniel Relihan.
Nhi Luong:

Hi everyone, my name is Nhi. I started my internship at Purdy-McGuire in Dallas in January 2018, and am currently studying Civil Engineering at UTA. I intend to graduate in December 2019. I was born in Vietnam, and have been in the U.S. for almost 4 years now. I enjoy living in a different country where I can meet new people and explore new things every day. I spend my free time reading and working out. Sometimes, I make a plans to do things in the summer - last summer, I built a pull-up station in my backyard. My upcoming project is building a fish pond in my back yard. I will do it this summer or next. Please stay tuned!
